Birthday Prayer for Myself: Thanking God for another year.

Today, as I celebrate my birthday, I give all thanks to the King of the Universe, our heavenly Father for the peace, to our Lord and master Jesus Christ for the love and the Holy Spirit for guidance. Knowing and walking with God in His entirety has been a blessing in my life. As I share my testimony and birthday prayer for myself today, I hope that you will be able to relate and draw closer to God, who is your source for all good things.

Prayer:

Dear heavenly Father, as I celebrate my birthday today, I thank you for another year of life, growing in wisdom and knowledge of your truth. I thank you for this gift that words cannot describe. For it is you that gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. Teach me Father, to number my days so that I may have a wise heart, living a life full of meaning and purpose. Certainly, your faithful love has never ended in my life. Your compassion is not through! They are renewed every morning. Great is your faithfulness Father.

I have lived many years now and I take pleasure in them all, many thanks to you. For you have given my life meaning and purpose. You adopted me into your sonship, made me heir to your inheritance and gave me a new identity when I had no identity. You stood with me in a deserted place when I felt alone and rejected. You healed my broken heart and you gave me the strength to stand on my feet, abiding under you shadow all the time. Even though I may have faced many disappointments and distress along the way, the life you have given me is has always been a blessing.

My praise will always be about you all the days of my life. My mouth is filled with praise glorifying you all day long. Help me Father to never stop doing good, so that in time I will reap the harvest if I do not give up. Help me to keep your commandments so that you can remain with me till the end of the age. Thank you for blessing me and protecting me. May your face shine on me and be gracious to me always. May you continue to lift your face unto me and granting me peace, your kind of peace that surpasses all understanding. I love you and honor you my loving Father. Let your mighty name be praised and exalted.
