Christian testimonies: Enjoying the presence of God
Updated: Jul 31
Greetings to you all the readers of this blog. I must say that silence is not always "golden" since I have been silent on my updates. I must say that I missed you all and I wish I would have written sooner. The good news is that Jesus is still being preached everywhere I have been blessed to go, to whoever cares to listen or read about it. God has been so gracious with me. I haven't been the best friend to a lot of people of late and I wish to make amends by asking for your forgiveness. I should have displayed Jesus instead of the complete opposite. With that being said let me fill you in on what has been happening.
DIVINE APPOINTMENTS
Recently I have been busy with "tent making" as Apostle Paul would call it using this opportunity to serve and tell those around me about Jesus. To be honest life has had its fair share of challenges especially on the spiritual front where I have had to ask God for help in many instances. In some situations I have been so exhausted with "tent making" that I ended up neglecting some fellowship time with my Heavenly Father.
Recently, I decided to take a jog down the neighborhood and eventually I found my way to a desolate bench where I continued with my workout routine. The neighborhood was quiet for a while until the kids from the nearby houses woke up and enjoyed their playtime at the park. In the meantime I was being entertained by the birds who were chirping from different parts of the park
it wasn't long before I was sitting lazily, exhausted by the workout and then I took time to sit on the green bench, pondering about in which direction my life was going.
Then suddenly I remembered God reminding me of how blessed I was to have met some fellow disciples who had shared their testimonies with me. I will never forget one such vidid testimony shared by a brother in Christ by the name of Papa Ogi recently about a week ago, who was born in the DR-Congo
He shared with a story of his mission trip to an Angolan village that had been filled with witchcraft and sorcery. At one point, Papa Ogi recalls facing a series of spiritual attacks which prayer overcame after some days of fasting and prayer.
What was amazing about this story was how the villagers began to respect the power of God after witnessing a series of miracles at one tent revival. Yes, this story took me back to the Apostles in the book of Acts Chapter 8 where Phillip paved the way for a revival in Samaria through the power of God.
To hear such a testimony almost broke me into tears. Not a lot of people nowadays can forsake all to go to and minister to an unknown village of witches in another part of the world. If God can use Papa Ogi, he can also use you.
I thank God that I have been able to see the Kingdom of God and it's power for myself. Especially at a time when there isn't much to talk about in the waiting season we often let the enemy discourage us.
Oh and before I forget I met a member of one Baptist church in Kempton park who has a creative way of sharing the gospel. He shared with me a small comic that shared the gospel in the most consicea and beautiful way. Thank you for that sir.
Well with that being said, I would like to encourage the reader to participate in active faith. Even if you are at work or at the mall shopping. Allow the Holy Spirit to lead you into the divine plan that God has for you for that day
Believe you me God does have a daily plan for our lives.
Until next time. Keep living for Jesus.
