Deliverance Prayers: Praying for your parents.

Religion and spirituality is a topic that can either hold families together or break them down beyond repair. Were religion is intertwined with culture and traditions, the rift between family members who believe in different things becomes worse. In the worst cases, family members being disowned because they chose to believe in Jesus Christ. Some have been forced to live in exile because of their faith in God and His beloved son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ spoke about this in the book of Matthew 10:36 were He said, "I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law." So that division in families is expected and fulfills what Christ Himself, said in scripture. However, we can still pray for our parents and ask God to touch their hearts so that the message of truth can also be revealed to them. Today I will share, a prayer that I myself have prayed for my parents and my sibling. Were possible please insert the names of your loved ones in the deliverance prayer as you apply it to you own unique situation.

Prayer:

Praise be to you my God, father of my Lord Jesus Christ. You have blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. You, dearest Father chose me from the foundations of the earth to be holy and blameless in your sight. In love, you predestined me to be adopted into your sonship through Christ Jesus according to your pleasure and will, to praise your glorious name, Father. Through your beloved son, Jesus Christ I have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance to the riches of your grace. I was chosen by you, who predestined everything according to your plan and you have worked out everything according to the purpose of your will. In your divine plan, you made sufficient grace available for me to hear the message of truth and the gospel of salvation. When I believed, you marked me with your seal, which is the sweet, precious Holy Spirit. He, the Spirit of Truth today guarantees my salvation.

Today, I remember my father [Name him], and my mother [Name her] in prayer. I ask that you may give them the spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that they may grow to know the message of truth and the gospel of salvation. The same message that has saved me from my own iniquities. I pray today, that the eyes of their hearts may be opened in order that they may know and experience the hope that only you can provide. I pray that by receiving the message of truth and receiving your Son, Jesus they will experience a perfect peace that surpasses their own understanding. The kind of peace that the world does not give but that can only be received from you. I pray that when they receive you, they will by extension receive the riches of your glorious inheritance which you have promised to those that believe that your son Jesus Christ is truly the Son of God.

I pray, dearest father that the same great power that you have provided for me to believe can be extended to them. The same power which you used to raise your Son from the dead. By the same power you have seated him by your right hand side in the heavenly realms, far above all rulers, authorities, powers, dominion and every name that is invoked, not only in this present age but also in the age to come. You, my gracious father, has placed all things under his feet and you have appointed him head of the Church. I, [name yourself] as a member of this church, has become a member of his body which is the fullness of him in everyway. I pray that my parents can also hear promises of life, love and mercy that comes from being a member of the body of Christ. I also pray for my siblings [name them] , that their faith may not fail in times of trouble, so that they can be used by you to strengthen others in the family and their communities.

Thank you father for the answered prayers, for your compassion and everlasting faithfulness.
