Bible study week: How do I share the gospel with people?

Greetings to the different readers from around the world. As a recap of last week's discussion, the main topic was about the work of an apprentice or a disciple in the Kingdom of God. Often times, we are reminded of our mandate which is to be obedient to God's word by following His commands. By making an effort to carefully study and meditate on the Scriptures we begin to find our purpose even as we are undergoing spiritual growth. As any person, sent out as a messenger, we are given the necessary tools to carry out the assignment that awaits us here on earth. With refence to the Bible, the first chapter of the second book of Apostle Peter verse 3, confirms that there is a toolbox, in the heavenly places for us to complete the work that He has set out for us (2Peter 1:3).

Now that we have established that we have an assignment to carry out and that the necessary tools are at our disposal, how then do we identify the tools and using them correctly to share the good news.

Looking back at the life of Jesus, he usually spoke in parables which was in the form of earthly stories explaining a Heavenly truth. His audience ranged from farmers, fishermen and tax collectors. I can imagine how difficult it was for even his disciples to follow these stories and find their true underlying meaning. Yet in their seeking, they asked questions more especially Peter who was never shy of a response. I suppose that we too can learn a lot from the life of Jesus by learning to teach others about the gospel through sharing our experiences.

Last week, I attempted to use the anology with the farmer and in our day in age we can use tools such as drama, singing, poetry and even preaching to share the good news with different audiences. We must always bare in mind that the Lord has equiped us for the great commission (Matthew 28:19).

In the first epistle of a written to the church of Corinth (1Corinthuans15:1-11), we note tge following that we are saved from the bondage of SIN through the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Unless we submit and believe that he is the son of the living God and that he came to show us the road to an eternal life that precedes all forms of earthly living then we are condemned for eternal hell. The same chapter mentions the eye witnesses who saw Christ die and resurrect an event which no religious belief has been able to furthom up to this day. It is thrrough the abundant grace of the Heavenly Father that Paul was saved and was able to bear witness to the truth of the gospel.

To put all this into practice, I can suggest that sharing all these Heavenly truths can be done in the most creative ways relatable to even the youngest of believers. However the truth must be preached by all who profess to be in Christ. Maybe all it takes is your life story, a song of thanksgiving or a you tube video. At the end of it all we are sent as messangers to go into this broken world and invite people into the Kingdom of God.

I pray that you will be able to reach out to someone this week with the good news. You can start small but at the end of it all it is important to be obedient. I hope to hear from you. All the best for the rest of the week.
